The Travelling Pedestrian: To SF Airport Without a Car

It is possible and economical for a pedestrian to get to the San Francisco airport without a car.

From Santa Cruz, take the Highway 17 bus to San Jose, then Caltrain to Millbrae where you can catch BART for a short hop to the airport. The Baby Bullet train travels between Millbrae and San Jose faster than one can go in a car. Travel is more relaxing when you don't have to drive in all that traffic

Buchanan Street in Glasgow, Scotland is a pedestrian mall that extends for blocks in the center city. It is lined with fashionable shops and arcades, tea rooms, restaurants and museums. It is a great place to people watch. Nearby hotels and the bus and train stations make travel without a car easy in this city.
